Fabric Book Jacket ~ 布制书衣

Made new batch of book jacket. People use book jacket for various reasons. Some wish to protect the book from dirt, some wish to cover their book for privacy reason and some may use it simply because it is nice to have a pretty cover for a book. :)

I have made some improvement to the book jacket this time. The earlier batch was a bit thin and flimsy. So I have added a layer of interfacing to make the jacket appear firmer. And I'm quite happy with the outcome.

I got to know this sunshine girl about four years ago. It was when I first started this blog with my handcraft projects. She is a friend of my former colleague.

She is one of the greatest supporter for my art work. :)  She and her daughter are my source of inspiration. I'm so thankful for her encouragement and trust in me.

It's the first time I'm making this design of pencil case and it's her idea! This pencil case is simple yet practical. It's suitable for adults who wish to carry stationery for journaling. The size is just nice to be put inside a handbag or an outing bag. The handmade book is made to match the pencil case :)

Fate at the Book Store ~ 书店情缘

我很爱逛书店，尤其独爱城邦阅读花园。可能是书店的装潢，也可能是亲切的店员。在那里感觉很自在轻松。有我爱看的书，悠扬美丽的音乐。在特定的周末和周日，空气中还会散发着咖啡的香味。

我就是在这样的书店与这两个包包的主人，同一天相遇。

猫咪包包的主人和我一起出席书店所主办的静心分享会。分享会结束后在书店看到我寄卖的包包，很是喜欢，便向我订制了一个。谢谢她对我的赞赏及信任。

染色纱线包包 （yarn dyed) 的主人，那么巧合地在我在书店看书的时候，跟店员要了我的联络号码。她要订制一个素色的包包给她的家婆，好贴心的一位媳妇。感谢她给我这个机会制作染色纱线的包包。

在书店不只可以和好书相遇，也可能会有意料之外的收获。
