Recently, I have discovered another place to shop locally for fabric and accessories for needlework, SINGMUIHEN (M) SDN BHD. This shop has been around for many years, but I don't know why I never noticed nor heard people mentioned about it until now. Well, actually I was at their branch in Singapore and found out that they actually have an outlet in Malaysia. So, after returning to Malaysia, I quickly find a time to check out the branch in Malaysia.
It wasn't difficult to find a location nowadays with the help from GPS. The shop is located at an old township. Those who are interested can get the address and map via the above link. I was so excited when I reached, hence I have forgotten to take any pictures of the shop. :)
The shops carries mainly US designer cotton and Japan cotton. There are also a few from Korea and China. The selection of fabric is good. I was overwhelmed with choice of fabric! Spent a long time in there haha..!
Apart from fabric, they have sewing accessories and tools as well. They do carry Japanese brand like Clover and Wheel & Anchor. Lot of sewing embellishments too like ribbon, lace, decorative tapes etc. They also have sewing & craft books in the shop, mainly in Japanese and Mandarin. I noticed that they deal with a lot wholesales customers, so some items are sell in bulk or large quantity.
This shop do have membership system. Members get to enjoy 10% discount on normal price items. They open from Monday to Saturday 9:00am to 5:30pm. I can't wait for my next trip there with my fabric obsessed friend. :)
